I just picked up some change I got the other day, and wondered where the copperish coin was that had a design I didn't recognize. I flipped it over and saw it was a penny, but with a different back! Ok, lame maybe, fine, ignore me....
Hey, I made that discovery in the past year and have started collecting the different designs. About 5 years ago they started altering the nickel and I just found out this week that the gold colored dollar coins Buh's work machines give in change have different presidents on them! I have John Quincy Adams that he gave me 20 months ago in Bellingham(I carry but NEVER spend so I always have a dollar!) and yesterday he gave me Zachary Taylor. They don't have minting dates. They state which president they were "12th President" and the year span they were in office "1849-1850" I love you ;-} xoxoxox
At first I thought you meant an old penny but then from mom's comment I am guessing it is a new one. I have seen new nickels but I don't think I have seen new pennies.
